Gog Magog: 5 Minutes to Armageddon | Ep 4: Mystery Babylon

There are many prophecies about the King of Babylon, the people of Babylon, and the land of Babylon that were not fulfilled with Ancient Babylon. That’s because some of those prophecies are reserved for Mystery Babylon at the end of days.

In this episode we identify the king of Mystery Babylon as Antichrist possessed by Satan, the people of Mystery Babylon as those in Israel who reject YASHUA (JESUS), and the land of Mystery Babylon as being the many power centers of Antichrist’s kingdom, one of which is end-of-days Jerusalem.

Dawson: There are prophecies in the Old Testament about the king of Babylon, the land of Babylon, and the people of Babylon that were not fulfilled with ancient Babylon. That’s because some of those prophecies are reserved for Mystery Babylon at the end of days.

In this episode, we’re going to identify Babylon’s king, her land, and her people. Once we understand who Babylon is, we can talk about what all of this has to do with Gog Magog.

As recorded by Daniel the prophet, Father gave a dream to Nebuchadnezzar, king of ancient Babylon. In the dream, there was a single image that represented various kingdoms. Nebuchadnezzar, as king of Babylon, was the head of this great image. His empire would later fall to the Persians, and when it did, Cyrus the Great of Persia took on the title “king of Babylon”. Centuries after Cyrus, Alexander the Great conquered the Persian empire, and he took over Babylon. History tells us that when Alexander died, he died in the palace of Nebuchadnezzar.

Alexander’s massive Greek empire was divided between his generals after his death, and when those generals met to decide who got what, they held their meeting in the city of Babylon. Part of the empire went to the Seleucids, and the Seleucids temporarily ruled from Babylon while they built themselves a new capital city.

The Seleucids became kings of Babylon. You may be familiar with the Seleucids as the kings of the north from Daniel chapter 11. In that same chapter of Daniel, we learn that antichrist is one of the kings of the north.

So, antichrist is therefore, at least in a sense, king of Babylon. And at the end of days, antichrist will be possessed by Satan, who is also, according to Isaiah, king of Babylon. In Isaiah chapter 14, it says, “You shall take up this proverb against the king of Babylon.”

And part of that proverb is, “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning? How art thou cut down to the ground, which did weaken the nations? For thou hast said in thine heart, ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God.’” I say all of this to tell you that Babylon has passed through many hands over time. But ultimately, it will end up in Satan’s hands. Satan is the king of Babylon.

The origin story for Mystery Babylon is in the Song of Moses. Not the horse and rider get thrown into the sea, Song of Moses, but the Song of Moses that we find in Deuteronomy. The one that is about the end of days judgment that our Father is going to one day have to execute on His own people. The Song of Moses says that Father knew Israel would forsake Him, and they would scoff at the rock of His salvation. The rock of His salvation in Hebrew is Tzur Yeshuati.

He knew that they would reject his Yeshua. The Song of Moses says they have dealt corruptly with him. They are no longer his children, because they are blemished. They are a crooked and twisted generation. So, for the part of Israel who would reject Yeshua, even though God was a father to them, they are no longer His children. When they scoff at the rock of His salvation, they turn themselves into sons of another father, that is, the devil.

This is why Yeshua said, “If God were your father, you would love me.” Now, Peter loved Him, and the apostles loved Him, but the majority of the house of Judah did not love Him. So, to them, He said, “You are of your father, the devil.”

The devil, as you heard earlier in Isaiah 14, is the king of Babylon. And Isaiah is in agreement with Yeshua on the subject of the devil, king of Babylon, having children. In Isaiah, Father says this about Lucifer, king of Babylon.

“Prepare slaughter for his sons, because of the guilt of their fathers.” This is very similar to what Yeshua told the children of Israel who rejected him. They would be charged with the guilt of their fathers who had killed the prophets.

Knowing that they would reject him, the wisdom of God said, “I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute, so that the blood of all the prophets shed from the foundation of the world may be charged against this generation.” Now, when Yeshua said this generation, it’s not because he was only talking to those who rejected him in his day. Anyone who has the same father is of the same generation.

It’s the same as with God our father’s children. If you are His, you are born again, and we are all brothers and sisters in Yeshua Hamashiach, in Christ. We have the same father, and therefore we are of the same generation.

Our generation is nearly 2,000 years old, and it includes people from the house of Judah, like Peter and Paul and James and John, and people from the nations who have followed Yeshua for the past 2,000 years. But for those in Israel who did not choose God then, and who won’t choose him now, they are considered the 2,000-year-old generation of the sons of the devil. For the Song of Moses, Father calls this twisted generation a harlot.

Now, remember what we’ve learned so far from the scriptures. Those who reject Yeshua are no longer God’s children, and their father is the devil. The devil is the king of Babylon, and the children of the devil, king of Babylon, are going to be judged for the blood of the prophets.

It’s no surprise then that in Revelation we see at the end of days a woman, Mystery, Babylon, the harlot in whom was found the blood of the prophets. The Song of Moses says that Father is going to repay those who hate him, and he will avenge the blood of His servants. And Revelation tells us that at Mystery Babylon’s fall, God will have avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

He’s talking about his own people, Israel, those who reject Him. Revelation tells us that we’re going to be singing the Song of Moses at the end of days, and that’s because His judgments that He pronounced in the song long ago against this harlot have been made manifest. In the Song of Moses, Father tells us that the harlot’s wine is as the poison of serpents and the cruel venom of cobras. This is one reason why Yeshua called the teachers of his day a brood of vipers. Vipers are poisonous, and the teachings of the Pharisees were poison, because poison equals death. And life is in Yeshua.

The Pharisees denied Yeshua, so they promoted death. Yeshua said that the teachers of his day not only would not enter the kingdom themselves, they shut the door so that others couldn’t enter either. And he was right. The teachings of the Pharisees prevailed in the house of Judah. After Yeshua’s resurrection, Judah went and set up academies in the land of Babylon, and they put the Pharisees’ teachings into a series of books called the Babylonian Talmud. These books became the basis of Jewish law and religion today.

For some, the Talmud is a great scholarly and religious work. But to Father, it is poison that leads to death, because it denies Yeshua who he sent. Revelation says that people on earth have become drunk with the wine of the sexual immorality of Mystery Babylon.

What this means is that the harlot who was prophesied in the Song of Moses to forget and forsake and reject her God has caused people worldwide to stumble. And the ultimate harlotry and causing to stumble is still yet to come. But it will come at the end of days when some among the people of Israel will align themselves with the antichrist and eventually worship an idol of Satan in our Father’s holy land.

Whether it is the Babylon that is a religion without Yeshua, or Babylon the satanic world that you live in, Babylon is a choice. You can come out of her. Since the days of Jeremiah, our Father has been calling His people to come out of Babylon. And it is to His people that He calls, “Come out of her. Go out of the midst of her, My people,” He said through Jeremiah. And at the end of days, His angel calls out, “Come out of her, My people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues.”

Those calls to leave Babylon are from the heart of a father who still has room to take his children back, even if the devil has a hold of them now. To the very last day, He is going to preserve a remnant, even among those in Israel who hate him now. One day He is going to open their eyes and they will see the rock of His salvation. They will see His Yeshua.

Carlos: So welcome to episode four, Gog Magog, five minutes from apocalypse, from Armageddon.

Dawson: Five minutes to Armageddon, yes.

Carlos: Five minutes to Armageddon, wow. Well, we just had a nice intro there, a lot of information. Now I want to make two points here as we continue on this. There was a time the apostles were – Yeshua laid hands on them and sent them out, gave them authority to heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead, do what it takes to show that the good news of the kingdom is here. They came back and later on, maybe not at the same time, two apostles in particular, knowing now that they had power and authority, they said, “To the towns that didn’t let us in, should we call down fire from heaven to destroy them?” You know, and basically Yeshua said, just hold it right there, you know, like didn’t quite answer them. And later on, I think we understood why.

He also gave them a parable. The parable is, there was this farmer who had a field and the farmer sowed wheat all over it to grow wheat. And his servants came and said, “Master, didn’t you sow good wheat on there?” because there’s all kinds of weeds growing right among the wheat. And he goes, “Well, this is the work of the enemy.” And at that point they asked him, “Well, master, do you want us to go out there and remove what they call the tares, the weeds?” And it was growing right in the middle of his field to which he replied, “Don’t do that. The reapers will come and separate them.”

The reapers are the angels. Amen? So based on what I said is – I’d like to say that we’re going to talk about Mystery Babylon, but also remember, there’s a lot of Judah within Mystery Babylon that He still wants to bring into the kingdom. Some even in the last day, all the way to the last day, there were brothers and sisters in Judah that will not take the mark. They won’t accept Yeshua yet, but they will not take the mark. And even on the last day, it says the descendants of David will be fighting like in the day of the Lord.

And then the skies are rolled back and they get to see Yeshua and they finally accept Him. So, for that reason, we’re not here to judge Judah, what they call Israel today. And for that reason, we’re not getting involved. Let the angels do the separation. Let the angels do the judgment because He has a reserve that He wants to bring into the kingdom. And in particular, it tells you all the way to the last day, the descendants of King David will be alive and fighting for their own existence.

I hope I get to be there to help them. And so, though there’s a lot of bad talk going on about Judah today, I will remind you, do not condemn and do not judge, lest you be condemned and judged. Amen. So, balance this. That’s what we’re trying to say as we’re going on to the Gog Magog.

Dawson: Yes.

Carlos: If it has a lot of questions, put them in the comments section.

Dawson: Yeah. We’ve talked about who the king of Babylon is and who the people of Mystery Babylon are. And now we want to talk about where is the land of Mystery Babylon, because the land of Babylon is prophesied to be judged at the end of days. And we’re going to show you in just a bit how this all relates to Gog Magog, because it’s very clear if you read the scriptures that the judgments against Babylon have not happened yet, and they are reserved for the end of days. So, we’re going talk about where is Mystery Babylon.

And as you saw earlier, we believe that at least one of the headquarters of Mystery Babylon at the end of days is going to unfortunately be Jerusalem.

Carlos: Amen. Now, Father’s children, we study and what we read and study, that’s what we teach. Again, we remind you, we don’t refer you to no books we’ve read. Not out of being prideful, just we believe that’s just people who want to sell books. You know, so we’re not selling books. We’re reporting what we read. Amen?

Dawson: Yeah. And with the understanding that He’s given us on what we read.

Carlos: He has given us understanding. Praise the Lord. Now this is Mystery Babylon. It’s not to be a mystery unto Father’s children. Amen?

Dawson: Yeah. So, in Revelation, it says, Revelation 17:15, that Mystery Babylon is seated over many peoples and multitudes and nations and languages. And one reason for this is because Israel is scattered at the end of days throughout the world.

Carlos: Amen. Now when we say Israel, that usually refers to the 10 tribes. But right now, we’re referring to, in particular, Judah.

Dawson: The house of Judah.

Carlos: Amen. The house of Judah, the kingly tribe.

Dawson: So, one question that people are going to have and that I had going through some of this information is – and some people have made the connection, like, hey, if you look at the judgments against Babylon, it does sound like it’s going to be a judgment against Israel, but…

Carlos: It’s the whole world. Amen?

Dawson: Right. It’s not just Israel. So that scattering impacts where the judgments are going to take place. So, when you read about these things and when we go through these things and you hear what’s going to happen to the land, some of those judgments are going to come to our own country. We’re in the United States.

Carlos: Amen.

Dawson: Some to Europe, some to wherever it may be. The power centers of the king of Babylon, which is Satan at the end of days.

Carlos: Now, I’m probably jumping ahead here.

Dawson: Go for it.

Carlos: And you can say, hold your horses, but I’m fascinated by Daniel’s prophecy of at the end of 70 years, that’s it. Not just Judah, not just Israel, but the whole world.

Dawson: Okay. So, you’re talking about…

Carlos: That’s what got Daniel…

Dawson: He’s referring to a prophecy in Jeremiah, in Jeremiah chapter 25, that when Daniel understood it, he got on his knees and started howling and praying like, Lord. You can read about that, I think it’s in chapter nine, and that’s when Gabriel comes and he tells him all about the 70 weeks for the people of Israel and for the city of Jerusalem.

Carlos: Amen.

Dawson: Because if you read that prophecy of Jeremiah, Jeremiah says that this land, speaking of Israel and all of the surrounding nations, because of what they were doing, because of the evil they were doing, they would be required by God to serve the king of Babylon for 70 years. And then he says what’s going to happen at the end of 70 years. And at the end of 70 years, all the words that Jeremiah had spoken are going to be fulfilled, which includes all the nations of all the world drinking the cup of Father’s wrath.

Carlos: Amen.

Dawson: Now, imagine you’re Daniel…

Carlos: Including Judah.

Dawson: Yes. Imagine you’re Daniel, you’re sitting there in Babylon, you’re reading this. And the way it’s written, I think most people just, they look at it and they think, oh, he read the word 70 and he realized, oh, we’ve been here for 70 years. But we don’t think it’s that simple. We think he’s like, we’ve been here for 70 years. And at the end of these 70 years, Father’s wrath is going to be on this planet and everything that Jeremiah said is going to happen, we’re going to die.

Carlos: Everything, it’s over.

Dawson: Yeah. So, Jeremiah’s 70 years have not been completed because there are seven years that have not been fulfilled that are still owed to the king of Babylon.

Carlos: One shabuah for those who study Hebrew.

Dawson: Yeah.

Carlos: Jeremiah, excuse me, Daniel started crying and weeping. He goes, we’ve been grounded down to nothing. The 10 tribes are gone and now Judah’s almost nothing. Father, and now you’re going to end us.

Dawson: Yeah. He understood.

Carlos: Of course he started crying. He fell apart.

Dawson: What he didn’t realize at the time is that there were seven years missing out of that prophecy because father drove King Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon insane for seven years. He left his throne. He went out into the wild and he lived like a beast.

Carlos: Amen.

Dawson: So, no king of Babylon on the throne means there are seven years that are still owed to the king of Babylon where Israel and the surrounding nations are going to serve the king of Babylon. And we believe that that time period is reserved for the end of days. And that’s going to be Daniel’s final week, the seven years at the end of the age that we are all waiting for.

Carlos: Amen. You’ll see that in our timeline, the possible start. We’re not time setters. We put it there for your consideration only. That’s it. As I always say, you love Yeshua, the Holy Spirit’s in your heart. You’re baptized. Don’t worry about one doctrine or another.

Dawson: Right.

Carlos: That’s it. Yeshua loves you. You love him. You’ll be in. So that was a nice little sidebar there.

Dawson: Yeah. So, you’ve got the king of Babylon, you’ve got antichrist possessed by Satan, who… he’s headquartered in some respect in Jerusalem. He has got other power centers throughout the world, like we talked about.

Carlos: He believes in the power of fortresses.

Dawson: Right.

Carlos: So, he could have four or five, six, seven locations.

Dawson: Right.

Carlos: Amen? With Babylon having seven heads, he’s pretty much going to be all over the world.

Dawson: Yeah. But we know that from the beginning of the seven years that he’s headquartered in Jerusalem, because it says that he seizes, he comes in and he seizes the kingdom through intrigue.

Carlos: Intrigue.

Dawson: Through slipperiness.

Carlos: In other words, flattery.

Dawson: Yeah.

Carlos: Sneakiness.

Dawson: Yeah. In Hebrew …

Carlos: Whichever word you want to use.

Dawson: Yeah. Yeah. The way that word is used in Hebrew is literally like slippery, like when something is slippery. So, he weasels his way.

Carlos: Weasels his way, yeah.

Dawson: To kind of take over the kingdom. And it says that – we talked about this in another one of our videos, but where you read that in Daniel that he takes away the sacrifice, he does. But in one of the instances where it says he takes away the sacrifice, it says literally in Hebrew, he lifts up the daily sacrifice.

Carlos: Rum.

Dawson: He rum. Yeah.

Carlos: Rum.

Dawson: Yeah. So, he eventually stops it, but he is one of the, at least one of the people who helps initiate it in the beginning. So, Jerusalem is definitely going to be, at the end, a power center of the king of Babylon, and therefore qualifies as the land of Babylon for all of these end times prophecies that need to come to pass.

Carlos: Amen. And the whole world is kind of Babylonish at the time.

Dawson: Yes. Indeed.

Carlos: So, it’s about time. And that brings us to …

Dawson: So now what all of this has to do with Gog Magog is when we left off last time, we talked about a verse in Ezekiel that everybody kind of has trouble with. And that verse is, this is father talking to Gog. And He says, “Are you he of whom I spoke in former days by My servants, the prophets of Israel, who in those days prophesied for years that I would bring you against them?” and them meaning Israel. So, what that verse is telling us very plainly is that in the ancient times, there were prophets of Israel who talked about Gog’s armies coming from the north to attack Israel.

But the issue that everybody has with this verse is that Ezekiel is the only one that talks about Gog is what they think. But our theory is that the attacking of Israel, the land of Israel coming from the north at the end of days by these armies is actually all over the scriptures. It’s just that when Father talks about the land of Israel for that attack, he is calling it Babylon.

Carlos: Father’s children, we’re about to show you how every time it’s mentioned, and I will do this unto Babylon, never happened. I will do this unto Babylon, never happened. Quite a few of those, we’re going to show that when He mentions Babylon, who is he talking about?

Dawson: He’s talking about the land of Israel.

Carlos: He’s talking about the land of Israel to make it clear. Amen?

Dawson: Yeah. And as we go through these scriptures, you’ll see that there are a lot of similarities between this end time judgment against Babylon and the war of Gog Magog.

Carlos: The judgment will be against Judah. People mentioned Israel. It will be against Judah until all of the tribes are gathered, then it’s Israel complete.

Dawson: Yes. So, what you’re going to have in the land is we showed a map last time around, and we went through all the scriptures that talk about where Father says the lost tribes of Israel are going to be regathered to. And it’s basically the outskirts and the mountains surrounding the state of Israel today.

Carlos: Eastern, southern section.

Dawson: Yeah. But in the main part of what’s called the State of Israel today, you’re going to have people from the house of Judah. So, the ones who are not in Yeshua, the ones, and we’re going to talk about this later, but the ones who are not being protected by the two witnesses, which is very important, and we’ll get to that in a future episode.

Carlos: That’s going to be a great episode, two witnesses.

Dawson: Yeah. So, you’re going to have two groups of people in the land. You’re going to have Mystery Babylon Israel, let’s say, and Second Exodus Israel.

Carlos: On the other side of the mountains.

Dawson: Yes. So, when Gog, our belief is that when Gog comes down, he’s coming down for the whole land of Israel. And he’s going to, as we’ll see, he’ll have some success in defeating Mystery Babylon Israel.

Carlos: On the west side of the mountains.

Dawson: Yes. But when he has a thought to attack those who are dwelling in safety in the mountains under the protection of Father, that’s when Father destroys him.

Carlos: That’s it.

Dawson: Yeah. So as far as the timing and the timing of the destruction of Mystery Babylon coming during the time of the regathering, one of the scriptures that points us to that is from Jeremiah 50. And it says, “In those days, and in that time declares the Lord, the people of Israel and the people of Judah shall come together, weeping as they come, and they shall seek the Lord, their God. They shall ask the way to Zion with faces turned toward it saying, ‘Come, let us join ourselves to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that will never be forgotten.’”

Now, that’s not the return of Zerubbabel because it was only the House of Judah that came back in those days.

Carlos: Amen. It’s only the House of Judah that came back in 1948.

Dawson: Some people from the house of Judah. Yeah. But in these days, when Babylon gets destroyed, it says that it’s the people of Israel and the people of Judah. So the two houses are coming together. Jeremiah 50 also says, “In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found, for I will pardon them whom I reserve.”

So, these words are not coming to pass until there’s no more transgression and sinning in Israel, which has not happened yet.

Carlos: We had just mentioned how we don’t judge Judah right now because He has some that He’s going to reserve and you don’t know which ones. Some that you might have problems with might repent.

Dawson: Yeah.

Carlos: Amen. So …

Dawson: We hope so, yeah.

Carlos: Let the angels do the separating. We’re to stay out of it.

Dawson: Yeah. In Isaiah 13, it makes it clear that all of this is occurring at the end of days. And Isaiah 13, it starts with the words, “the burden of Babylon”. And Isaiah writes, “Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate, and He shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light. The sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.”

So, end of days hasn’t happened yet.

Carlos: Amen. That sounds global, not just on the land of Judah right now.

Dawson: Okay.

Carlos: Amen? It’s not like, some will say what happens to Judah at the end of the days. Some will say what will happen to Israel at the end of the days.

Dawson: Some Babylon, yeah.

Carlos: Babylon in every harbor, everywhere they’re centered.

Dawson: Okay.

Carlos: Amen?

Dawson: A couple scriptures that talk about an assembly of nations that come against the land with a focus on the north. So, these are from Jeremiah 50. He says, “For out of the north a nation has come up against her, which shall make her land a desolation and none shall dwell in it. Both man and beast shall flee away.”

“I am stirring up and bringing against Babylon a gathering of nations, of great nations from the north country and they shall array themselves against her. Behold a people shall come from the north and a great nation and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.”

Now that term “coasts of the earth” is – in Hebrew it’s “yerekah” and it’s actually – you’ll find it three times in Ezekiel when he’s talking about Gog Magog. So, another way to translate that is the remote parts of the earth and also in in Jeremiah 50 it says, “Their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man. None shall return in vain and Chaldea (which is another name for Babylon) shall be a spoil. ‘All that spoil her shall be satisfied,’ saith the Lord.”

And so, this is why I was mentioning earlier that when Gog comes against the land, he’s not going to get destroyed right away. He is going to – I don’t know what’s a better way of putting it, but he’s going to have some success in his campaign against the land.

Carlos: It should be a knockdown drag out.

Dawson: Yeah.

Carlos: Basically, antichrist is Satan, Gog is Satan and it looks like he stopped the daily.

Dawson: They’re separate though, they’re separate.

Carlos: They’re separate.

Dawson: Yeah. Antichrist is a separate human.

Carlos: They’re in cahoots.

Dawson: They’re possessed by the same satanic spirit. Yes.

Carlos: Amen. And so, you have these nations coming down and according to the prophets they have a high degree of success.

Dawson: Yes, it says all who spoil her shall be satisfied.

Carlos: There you go.

Dawson: But at the same time, Jeremiah also says that Father, he quotes Father as saying at this time, “I will make them suddenly run away from her.”

Carlos: There you go. Destroy them. It looks like this. They’re coming in from the north. They’re having success fighting Judah proper, the one on the west of the mountains. In the meantime, you have the 10 tribes and I’m going to guess some Judah as well along with them.

Dawson: For sure. For sure.

Carlos: I’m from Zebulun. We have Naphtalis. We have Gad, Manasseh. We have Judah with us. We have some Judah coming with us. But at that time he’ll want to go to east of the mountains and go south to where the tribes have food, water, cattle it says, goods. So, when he tries that suddenly, that’s when everything falls apart.

Dawson: Yeah. Speaking of the success of the campaign, Isaiah 13, speaking about the destruction of Babylon. He says, “Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them which shall not regard silver and as for gold, they shall not delight in it. Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb. Their eye shall not spare children.”

So, this scripture is just one example of why everybody acknowledges, whether you believe our theory or not, just as a historical fact that this has not happened yet.

Carlos: It has not happened. Now by the way, those of you who keep up with history and what’s going on, Babylon is already in ruins already melting away.

Dawson: Right.

Carlos: It’s just dilapidated. This is Mystery Babylon not the city of Babylon. Mystery Babylon to be identified at the end of days.

Dawson: Right.

Carlos: Amen? So just so you’ll know that it’s not possible that these prophecies could be fulfilled in in Babylon proper.

Dawson: Yeah. Yeah, they weren’t because the Babylon was taken over by Cyrus and it was a relatively peaceful transition when he came in. He didn’t come in not sparing the pregnant and killing all the kids and all of that. That never happened.

Carlos: No, instead he set them free.

Dawson: He set them free.

Carlos: Cyrus the great.

Dawson: Yes. And after Cyrus the – like we showed earlier, Babylon, it remained an important city for the empire that was even in charge of that area after Yeshua’s resurrection. So, it was never destroyed with an everlasting destruction the way the prophets describe. But that’s something that’s coming in the future. What happened with the city of Babylon, you see it in ruins today but it happened slowly, just dilapidated over time like Carlos was saying.

Carlos: The trade routes changed and it slowly died.

Dawson: Yeah. So, there’s still a destruction coming to Babylon but it’s going to be fulfilled in mystery.

Carlos: Mystery Babylon. Amen.

Dawson: Yeah. The mention of the Medes in Isaiah’s prophecy that we just read, it could be a possible reference to Persia coming with Gog. So, Ezekiel lists Persia as being part of the armies that come against the land. In ancient times, the words Persians and Medes were often used interchangeably.

Carlos: Amen. It could be both of them today.

Dawson: It could be. Yes.

Carlos: The Medes are back. The Kurds. And Iran is there waiting and already starting. Amen?

Dawson: Yeah, and there’s Jeremiah, he talks about the Medes and he has a possible reference to Gog himself because he talks about a captain being appointed over this group of nations. From Jeremiah 51, he says, “Prepare against her,” so against Babylon, “the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof.” And later he says, “Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her. Appoint a captain against her.”

So that could be a literal possible reference to Gog himself. The mishmar that Father sets over this confederacy at the end of days.

Carlos: A mishmar is like a prison warden or like a warlord that won’t let you go free.

Dawson: Yeah.

Carlos: Okay, so that leads us to the next header here is the judgment that Jeremiah speaks of against Babylon is absolutely the end of days.

Dawson: Yes. Mystery Babylon.

Carlos: Not maybe, it’s definitely the end of days.

Dawson: So, we’ve got a couple verses that are like companion verses to what we read in Revelation about Mystery Babylon at the end of days. In Jeremiah 50, he says, “Recompense her,” so speaking of Babylon, “recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her for she hath been proud against the Lord.”

That word “recompense” is the same word that’s translated elsewhere as reward. Yeah. And in Revelation 18, we read this about mystery Babylon. Reward her even as she rewarded you and double unto her according to her works in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself.”

So, in both instances in Jeremiah’s prophecy and in Revelation, we have because of her pride she’s going to get this reward.

Carlos: It tells us plainly for the sins of her fathers.

Dawson: Yes.

Carlos: Amen. Now for here, I want to take a break. A lot of people complain about wearing my glasses.

Dawson: Yeah.

Carlos: It’s only because the lights are strong.

Dawson: Yeah. And they’re all pointed right at him.

Carlos: Amen. They don’t go to her, they go to me.

Dawson: Better than me. Yeah. Sorry about that.

Carlos: Amen. Lights go that way but right here at me.

Dawson: A couple of points on the reason for this whole judgment that has to come against Babylon. We’ve talked about the big picture reason, which is his people have rejected him.

Carlos: Amen.

Dawson: But there’s something more specific that Jeremiah talks about as well. He says, “Flee out of the midst of Babylon and deliver every man his soul. Be not cut off in her iniquity for this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance.”

Now this is the same sort of language that we read before in the Song of Moses. It’s time of His vengeance. And Jeremiah explains that it is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance of His temple.

Carlos: In the land, in the holy land and also where we live, stay away from Babylonish things. Stay away from pornography. Stay away from, what do they call it, unclean sex. Stay away from murder. Stay away from being a false witness. Stay away from abortion. Stay away from anything that Father wouldn’t like. Not just in the land of Judah. Where you’re at also. Come out from her. We got to come out for right where we’re at. We don’t got to go to the land to be caught up with Mystery Babylon. Amen?

Dawson: Amen. So, when Jeremiah talks about the vengeance of his temple, a lot of people read that and they assume it’s talking about well, Nebuchadnezzar came and burned down his temple and so he wants vengeance on ancient Babylon. But again, this is end of days Mystery Babylon. What is He angry about with regards to His temple as it relates to Mystery Babylon?

Carlos: A big statue of antichrist.

Dawson: Yes.

Carlos: That’s what He’s mad at.

Dawson: Yes. Yeah. He’s taking vengeance. He’s going to take vengeance for the abomination of desolation that they’re going to set up in the holy place like Yeshua said.

Carlos: Where it ought not be.

Dawson: Where it ought not be.

Carlos: Amen.

Dawson: Yeah. And Jeremiah also says, “I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the Lord.”

In Zephaniah he talks about kind of all these same things. You’ve got a priesthood that is polluting the sanctuary. You’ve got a rebellious city of Jerusalem that is proud, just like he talks about with Mystery Babylon. And in Zephaniah, I don’t know if we should read the whole thing, it’s kind of long. But if you guys want to do further study on this like …

Carlos: Amen, you can read Zephaniah.

Dawson: Go read Zephaniah 3 because he’s talking about what He’s going to take vengeance on for His temple and he’s also talking about the regathering of the lost tribes at that same time and it’s a beautiful chapter.

Carlos: Simultaneously.

Dawson: Yeah.

Carlos: Amen.

Dawson: Yeah. So that’s kind of it for the Mystery Babylon part of the study.

Carlos: So, this is this is amazing. We got Mystery Babylon and they’re being attacked by the spirit of the kings of the Medes during this time.

Dawson: Yeah. Among others.

Carlos: Among others, the remote places even.

Dawson: Yes.

Carlos: Amen. So, it’s an exciting time coming. Come out of Babylon. She’s not going to win. Come out wherever you are. It doesn’t matter what city, what country. It’s all mystery Babylon, you know, at that time.

Dawson: Before we go… There’s one question that some of you no doubt have if you’ve studied these matters because I had the same question, and that is the destruction of Babylon is prophesied to be an everlasting desolation and destruction.

However, the scriptures are clear that Yeshua is going to reign from Jerusalem forever. So how do those two things work together? How is it that Jerusalem is destroyed but Jerusalem lasts forever?

Carlos: That’s a good one. Will you tell them now or …?

Dawson: That is going to be the subject of our next episode.

Carlos: Amen.

Dawson: When we talk about the future of Jerusalem and the difference between Jerusalem here and Jerusalem above.

Carlos: Amen. So, peace unto you Father’s children and shalom unto Jerusalem.

Dawson: Shalom everybody.
